Full Dip primers come in black, dark grey and light grey. A primer gives your colour coats an even base, which helps most when you are changing from a dark colour to a light one or the reverse.

Match the Full Dip spray wrap primer to your top colour. Light grey suits whites, yellows and pale shades; dark grey works under mid tones; black supports deep colours. Getting the base close means fewer colour coats and a more even result, especially on surfaces that started as a very different shade.

Not every job needs a liquid wrap primer. If the original surface is already close to the colour you want, you may be able to go straight to colour coats. Priming earns its place when covering high-contrast bases, multi-coloured parts or small areas where any patchiness would be obvious. Ask if unsure.

Lay down a Full Dip car wrap primer in light, even coats after cleaning and degreasing the surface. Let it flash off before your colour goes on, and keep coats thin at edges where build-up is easiest to see. If you are unsure of your technique, test on a spare part first.
