Photograph the vehicle closed and open for service, including the hatch, awning and any boards you use.
Ice cream vans, coffee vans, catering trailers and drinks deliveries. When the vehicle is the shopfront, the graphics have to sell.
Food van graphics have to work as an advert on the road and as a shopfront at the pitch, telling customers in seconds what you sell and where to queue.

For most mobile food and drink businesses the vehicle does two jobs. On the road it is an advert. Once parked at a market, festival or business park it becomes the shop itself, and customers decide in a few seconds whether to queue. The graphics need to say what you sell, look appetising and make it obvious where to order.
That changes the layout. The serving side matters more than the driver’s side, the area around the hatch has to stay clear for menus and the counter, and the brand often needs to be visible above a queue of people. A delivery vehicle for a brewery or drinks wholesaler is different again: it works more like a trade van, with the brand and a route to order front and centre.
Food vehicles are also cleaned more than most, inside and out, and spend long hours parked in the sun. We plan finishes and edges around that routine. Our food van wraps page covers full wraps for trucks, trailers and coffee vans in more depth.
Choose your business for menu-friendly layouts and the practical points that apply.

Bright, cheerful designs that children spot from the end of the road, with room for the menu board.

Small vans and converted vehicles where the serving side and the brand do all the work.

Trailers and kiosks that are towed, set up and opened like a shop at every pitch.

Delivery vans that carry the label design onto the road and into every pub yard.

Full and part wraps for food trucks, catering trailers and coffee vans.
Many coffee businesses run small vans or converted vehicles where every panel counts. A coffee van wrap can carry the brand across the whole body, but keep the serving side uncluttered around the hatch and decide where a menu board will hang before the design is finalised. Simple, warm imagery tends to read better at a distance than detailed photography.
A catering trailer is towed, unhitched and opened up like a shop, often with awnings and counters folded out. Catering trailer graphics need to stay visible once everything is set up, so we look at photos of the trailer open as well as closed. Put the brand high where it can be seen over a queue, and use removable boards for prices that change.
Ice cream van graphics are designed to be recognised from the end of a road, with bright colours and a cheerful look. Leave the area around the serving hatch clear for the menu board, and keep any permanent product images general, so a change of supplier or range does not mean replacing the whole design. Book the work well before the season starts.
Send photos of your setup, both open for trade and closed for the road, and we will design food van graphics that fit how you actually serve customers. Request a quote.
A strong brand on the vehicle lasts for years; menus and prices change every season. We usually recommend keeping the two apart: permanent graphics for the brand, and separate, easily replaced panels or boards for what you sell and what it costs.

Keep the hatch clear. Mark the serving hatch, awning, gas locker and any vents on your photographs. We keep artwork and edges away from areas that open, get hot or are wiped down repeatedly.
Cleaning routines. Graphics typically last longest when they are hand washed and kept away from harsh chemicals and close pressure washing at the edges. Tell us how the vehicle is cleaned.
Check local rules. Trading at events and on the street often needs consent from the council or the event organiser, and some have their own requirements for signs. Check with them before you finalise the design.
Drinks advertising. If your graphics promote alcoholic drinks, check any advertising rules that apply to drinks marketing before approving the wording.
Photography you own. Food photography sells, but only use images you have the rights to. Low-resolution pictures from a website will look soft when printed across a van side, so send originals.

Photograph the vehicle closed and open for service, including the hatch, awning and any boards you use.
We design the road side and the serving side separately so each works for the people who see it.

What changes the price of vehicle graphics, and how to compare quotes.
Usually not. Menus and prices change, so we suggest separate panels or boards that can be swapped, with the permanent graphics reserved for the brand.
Yes. Send photographs of each side and the dimensions, marking the hatch, doors and any vents, and we will quote for the coverage you want.
Quality vinyl copes well with normal cleaning. Hand washing, mild cleaners and keeping pressure washers away from the edges help the graphics last.
