Privacy film.
Window film for meeting rooms, treatment areas and commercial interiors where the view through the glass needs to be managed without replacing the glazing.
DISCUSS YOUR PROJECT ↗
A little more privacy. A lighter-feeling space.
Privacy film changes how clearly people can see through a pane. Frosted and decorative finishes can screen selected areas while leaving other parts clear. Begin with the privacy you need from each side, the activity behind the glass and whether views out remain important.
Make it work for your project.
Considered design. Planned installation.
The right specification.
Privacy is not the same as complete opacity. Silhouettes and movement can remain visible depending on the film, lighting and distance from the glass. Reflective films behave differently and should not be treated as guaranteed two-way privacy at all times. Discuss samples under conditions similar to the intended room.
Ready for the site.
Identify the glazing type and any coatings or existing films before selecting a product. Film compatibility, edge treatment and cleaning instructions matter to the finished result. Where glass also needs manifestation, the required collision-visibility treatment should be checked separately rather than assumed from privacy coverage.

Your questions. Answered.
Will people still see silhouettes?
They may, depending on the film, lighting and how close someone stands to the glass. Discuss a sample where privacy is particularly sensitive.
Does privacy film replace manifestation?
Not automatically. The responsible team should confirm whether the proposed design also meets the applicable visibility requirements.
Can old film be removed?
Removal can be discussed after checking the glass, film and access. The condition of the existing installation affects the work involved.
A little more guidance.

Glass manifestation: what the regulations ask ↗
Plan visible glass markings for doors and screens, understand England’s building guidance and prepare a practical manifestation specification.

Frosted window film vs etched glass ↗
Compare an applied decorative film with a finish formed in the glass itself. The right choice depends on existing glazing, privacy, branding, future changes and the wider fit-out.
