Building & shop signs

Projecting signs.

Help people find your entrance before they are directly in front of it. Projecting signs face approaching pedestrians and can complement the main fascia without repeating every detail.

Be seen along the street.

A projecting sign extends away from the building, presenting a face along the pavement or approach. It is useful where a fascia is difficult to see from the side, or where several entrances share a frontage. Keep the message simple: a business name, recognisable logo or clear destination often works better than a full list of services.

Make it work for your project.

Shaped signs and brackets that suit the frontage

Illuminated options where appropriate and approved

Considered design. Planned installation.

The right specification.

The panel, bracket and wall connection should be considered as one assembly. Scale the sign to the street and viewing distance, with clear space around the logo. Tell us about awnings, trees, neighbouring signs and other features that could obscure it. The preferred shape can be explored after the available position is understood.

Ready for the site.

Projection introduces loading at the bracket and building connection. The wall condition, exposure, access and clearances need checking for the actual address. Landlord approval, advertisement consent and any highway or listed-building considerations should be confirmed by the relevant parties before production.

Your questions. Answered.

Can the sign be printed on both sides?

Yes, a double-sided layout can address people approaching from either direction. The artwork and mounting orientation are agreed together.

Do projecting signs need permission?

The answer depends on the proposal and location. Check the relevant local authority and landlord requirements before manufacture.

Can we reuse an existing bracket?

Send photographs and dimensions. Reuse depends on its condition, capacity and suitability for the new sign, and needs assessment before it is included in a quotation.

Choose lighting around when customers arrive, how your frontage is seen and what the building allows. Compare appearance, maintenance, installation and the cost of operating the complete sign.
